Winfred Worley

Winfred Worley, age 75 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Kindred Hospital of Rome. Winfred was born on February 21, 1939 in Gordon County, to the late Curby Maxwell Worley and Annie Moore Worley. He was a member of the New Town Baptist Church and was a graduate of Red Bud High School Class of 1958. Winfred enjoyed automobile body work, repair and racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Worley, Max Worley and George Worley; two sisters, Gussie and her husband Jack Holland, and Nellie Parks and her husband Roy; a brother-in-law, Willard Beardon and a sister in law, Ann Worley. He is survived by his wife Beverly French Worley of Calhoun; son, Brian Pass and his wife Elisabeth of Calhoun; two daughters, Joanna Knowles and her husband Phillip of Roswell, and Erin Prine and her husband Les of Calhoun; brother, Donald Worley and his wife Faye of Calhoun; two sisters, Doris Blackstock of Calhoun, and Sue Beardon of Cassville; and seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 9th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery with Steve Worley officiating. Pallbearers serving will be nephews and include, Bennie Blackstock, Bryan Blackstock, Lamar Worley, Kenny Hammond, Dwight Rogers, Doug Rogers, Donny Worley, Tim Worley, Mike Holland, Randy Holland, Toby Holland and Mike Carnes.
