William Worley

William Worley, age 87 of the Resaca Community, passed away August 27, 2016 at his residence. William was born on October 9, 1928 in Gordon County to the late Vernnon E. Worley and Julia Mae Sortells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Bascomb Worley and Raymond L. Worley; sister, Mildred Worley Cooper; nephew, Johnny (Shag) Worley. He was a member of First Baptist Church. William was a business representative for carpenter local # 225. He is survived by his wife, Moline B. Worley; son, Matthew Worley; daughter, Pamela Worley Roberson (Barry) from Kennesaw, GA; sister, Wilma Ingle of Lafayette, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer McKeown (Patrick) of Marietta, GA; Great Grandchildren, Andrew Nezbeda and Roberson McKeown of Marietta, GA; in addition he is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 11 AM at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, with Dr. John Barber and Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. "One Touch" will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday August 29, 2016 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
