William Henry Wilson

William Henry (Bill) Wilson, 86, of Marietta, Georgia, died peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by those he loved on December 23, 2024. 

Bill was born in Oakman, Georgia, in 1938 to Hattie Lucille (née Leatherwood) and John Henry Wilson. He attended Fairmount High School, enlisting in the Navy after graduation and going on to work for Lockheed Martin as a manufacturing engineer for 38 years until his retirement in 2000. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 62 years, Violet; his daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Michael Fleming; his half brother John Wilson and wife Teresa; sister-in-law Jean Usher; and cousins nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. 

A graveside service will be held on December 30, 2024 at 1pm at Hopewell Baptist Church in Oakman, Georgia.
