Mr. Scott Walters, age 92, of Calhoun passed away early Tuesday morning in Calhoun Health Care.
Scott was born in Chattooga County Ga. on January 18, 1917. Son of the late Ira and Sallie Mills Walters. He was employed by the West Point Company of Lindale and was a farmer at heart. He was a veteran of the Unites States Army serving during WWII. Scott was a member of Unity Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years Mrs. Lucille R. Walters of Calhoun, One son, Robert Copeland and his wife Betty of the Thomas Bluff Community. One daughter, Barbara McEntyre and her husband Baron of Calhoun. Three Granddaughters: Kim Rogers, Holly Moore, and Haley McDaniel. Two Great Grandsons: Alex Rogers, and Gavin McDaniel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday July 9, 2009 from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Manning and Rev. Arthur Cox officiating. Internment will follow in the Cassville Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include; Alex, Jack, and Paul Rogers, Edwine Davidson, Buddy Chapman, Phil Moore, and Jim Bob Miller.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8pm Wednesday evening.
