William Derk “Bill” Schutter, age 69, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday morning November 9th at his residence following a long battle with cancer.
Bill was born on November 29, 1947 in Muskegon, MI., son of the late Earl Schutter and Tressa Allison Schutter. He was a member of the Calhoun Seventh-Day Adventist Church and was a combat veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife; Debera Schutter of Calhoun, three sons; Bradley Lynn Schutter, Derek Louis Schutter and Michael Duane Guthrie, one daughter; Bobbie Sue Arias, One brother; Dale Schutter, two sisters; Patricia Taylor and Barbara Shultz. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside Services for family will be conducted Sunday November 12th at 2pm in Chandler Cemetery with Chaplin Dave Smith officiating and Ft. Benning will afford military honors.
Services to celebrate the life of Bill Schutter will be conducted on Saturday, November 18th at 4pm from the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church with Chaplin Dave Smith officiating.
