William "Pat" Potts

Reverend William Patrick Potts, age 78 of Sugar Valley, passed away on Friday May 1, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Reverend Potts was born on January 23, 1942 in Gordon County to the late William Cooper Potts and Dorothy Wright Potts. He was the Pastor of Hall Memorial Baptist Church for 30 years. In addition to pastoring, he retired from Mannington Mills after 30 years. Reverend Potts was a very loving man, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Linda Potts of Sugar Valley; fours sons, Marty Potts, Joey Potts, Stacey Potts, and Dennis Potts; daughter, Tammy Feagin; brother, Ronald “Pee Wee” Potts; two sisters, Sherry Stanley, and Sylvia Nicholson. Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2020 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Zachary Feagin and Reverend Randy Fouts officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Marty Potts, Joey Potts, Stacey Potts, Zachary Feagin, Josh Potts, and Jacob Feagin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 2 PM until 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
