William Paul Patterson

William Paul Patterson, age 57, of Calhoun. Died Thursday November 10th at his residence following a sudden attack. Paul was born June 17, 1954 in Gordon County. Son of the late Vernon and Grace Tallent Patterson. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and a 1973 graduate of Calhoun High School. Paul was a active member of the Calhoun Elks Lodge where he served as Tiler. He was also a member of the Gordon County Sheriffs Auxiliary. Survivors include his sister, Vivian Woodring and her husband Bobby of Calhoun. Two brothers, David Patterson of Cartersville and Dwight Patterson of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday November 12th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Jether Cochran and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Robbie Garman, Paul Garman, and Robert Kean will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include, Lori Lewis, Marilyn Roland, Rachel Dillard, Angie Lance, Britt Morgan, Samantha Black, Pat Long, and Terri Bailey. Members of the Calhoun Elks Lodge, The Elketts, and the Gordon County Sheriffs Auxiliary will all serve as honorary escorts. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 - 8pm.
