William (Bill) Henry Lovvorn

Mr. William Henry "Bill" Lovvorn, age 82 of Calhoun died at 5:25 PM, Friday, April 29 in Gordon Hospital. Bill was born in Carrollton, August 7, 1928, son of the late George Henry Lovvorn and Ozell Cantrell Lovvorn. He was retired from Ford Motor Company as National Account Manager; a veteran of World War II, US Navy; and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Bill is survived by his wife, Marjorie Dobbs Lovvorn of Calhoun; one son, William H. Lovvorn, Jr. and his wife Paige of Macon; one daughter, Robin Willis and her husband Jim of Lyman, South Carolina; one brother Bob Lovvorn and his wife Elaine of Carrollton; one sister, Sandra Gowing and her husband Charles of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Michael Willis and his wife Lynne of Greenville, South Carolina, Lindsey Vaughn and her husband, Travis of Lyman, South Carolina, Neal Lovvorn of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Mackenzie Lovvorn of Lawrenceville; and 3 great grandchildren, Tyler Lovvorn, Lily Lovvorn, and Brionna Vaughn. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, May 2 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Margaret Thornton will have charge of music, and burial will be in Fain Cemetery. The Lovvorn family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home preceding the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Howard Jones Cancer Treatment Center, c/o Gordon Hospital in addition to flowers Online condolences may be recorded at www.thomasfuneralhomecalhoun.com.
