William David Dillard

William David Dillard, age 69 of Alpharetta and formerly of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in North Side Hospital of Cumming. David was born on July 12, 1945 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Hiram David Dillard and Willa Mae Holden Dillard. David grew up in Calhoun, and was a graduate of the Calhoun High School Class of 1963. After high school, he attended West Georgia College for two years. He was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church, and enjoyed photography after his retirement. He is survived by his two daughters, Jean Davis and her husband Glenn of Sautee, GA, and Suzanne Warren of Grovetown, GA; one brother, Erwin Dillard and his wife Dorian of Jasper, GA; and one granddaughter, Emily Warren of Grovetown, GA. Memorial Services will be conducted on Sunday, December 21st at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at 3:00 PM on Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
