Sunday, November 09, 2008 Mr. William Wayne Andrews age 76 of Talon Drive, Rydal, Ga. the Sonoraville Community died Sunday November 9th. in Gordon Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Andrews was born in Gordon County on July 9, 1932, and also lived many years in Marietta, son of the late Mack and Dorothy Davenport Andrews and had been a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Marietta Church of God but ,attended the Fairview Church of God. He was a machinist with Lockheed-Martin until retirement and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean era. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife; Marie Wilson Andrews in 2006, and a brother ; Robert Andrews Survivors include his wife Vernice Parker Andrews of Rydal, one son ; Michael Andrews and his wife JoAnn of Acworth, one step-son; Daryl Eaton of Rocky Face, one daughter; Cynthia Harden Wise and her husband Clifford of Marietta, two stepdaughters; Beverly Dixon and her husband Brad of Rocky Face, Ga., Janice Skidmore and her husband Raymond of Dalton, one brother ; Charles Andrews and his wife Martha of Powder Springs, Ga, three sisters; Mabel Harris ,Mary Wilson , Edna Corn all of Oakman, and a sister-in-law; Jean Andrews of Virginia, four grandchildren; Jsohua, Jessica, Sarah, and Shawn. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 12th. from the Fairview Church of God with Rev. DaRon Henson and Rev. Randy Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include,Doug Wilson, Joshua and Shawn Andrews, Craig Kiser, Daryl Eaton, Allen Sosebee and Derek Cronon and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15P.M. Wednesday at which time the body will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 1;00 Until the funeral hour. Valerie Taylor, Lea Roach and Richie Parker will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening.
