Willard L. Kinman, age 96 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Gordon Health Care.
Willard was born on August 1, 1916 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Robert B. Kinman and Fannie Robbins Kinman. He was a lifelong resident of Gordon County, a veteran of World War II, and at the time of his death he was the oldest living member of Reeves Baptist Church. He was also a farmer and was employed by the J.W. Bray Company of Dalton at the time of his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: four sisters, Elizabeth Kinman, Lucille Davis, Louise Childress and Eunice Malone; and two brothers, Clayton Kinman and Robert L. Kinman.
Willard is survived by: one sister, Margret Register of Edgewater, Florida; one brother, Charles Kinman and his wife Elaine of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, July 14th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Clinton Carver and Reverend Jim Burns officiating. Music will be provided by Parham Hammontree. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13th from 5:00 until 8:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
