Tuesday, February 05, 2008 Mr. Will King, age 74 of 1717 Sugar Valley Rd. S.W., Calhoun, died Monday Feb. 4th. in Hamilton Medical Center. Will was born in Gordon County on Jan. 12th. 1934 son of the late John H. and Jennie Mae Thomas King and had been a lifelong resident. He had been employed by the City of Dalton Street Dept. for a number of years , was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Green. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Mitchell and Tracie King of Crandall, Ga., a brother; Jimmy King and his wife Donna of Calhoun, three sisters; Renee Fox and her husband “Bucky” of Calhoun, Margaret Zipperer and her husband Oliver of Forest Park, Ga. and Johnnie Johnson of Atlanta. Two grandchildren; Billy and Zach Green, Two great-grandchildren; Mary Kathrine Green and Katlyne Green and a special friend Ms. Lee Dewberry of Dalton along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Thursday Febuary 7th. from the Bethesda Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Chad King, Burt Fox, Brian and Bill Towers, Zach and Billy Green and they are asked to meet at the Thomas Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. Thursday. On Thursday the body will lie instate at the Bethesda Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M.until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 3:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
