Wesley R. Hudgins

Thursday, June 05, 2008 Wesley R. Hudgins, age 71, of Calhoun. Died Thursday June 5th at his residence following a sudden attack.. Mr. Hudgins was born in Floyd County September 13, 1936. Son of the late Hugh and Venus Burnley Hudgins. Wesley was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother Hugh R. Hudgins, two sisters, Edith Blalock and Peggy Belin. Survivors include his wife Georgia Hudgins. One son, Dale and his wife Sheri. One daughter, Priscilla Harrison and her husband Jerry all of Calhoun. Three grandchildren, Amber Stokes, Grace and Hope Hudgins. Two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Stokes and Trinton Parker. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday morning June 7th at 11AM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 9PM.
