Wayne Jay Freshour,

Wayne Jay Freshour, Sr., age 81, of Calhoun. Died Sunday afternoon October 30th in Gordon Health Care. Mr. Freshour was born September 2, 1929 in Ottumwa, Iowa. Son of the late Harry Jay and Veronda Freshour. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and was a veteran of the United States Army. Before his retirement he was employed by the 3M Corporation in executive sales. Mr. Freshour was a member of the Sugar Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include his two sons, Jeff Freshour and his wife Michelle of Calhoun and Jay Freshour, Jr. of Smyrna. Two grandchildren, Justin Freshour and Erica Taylor. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday November 2nd at 1pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. Jim Suddath officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
