Mr. Wayne Carver age 59 of 140 Summit Drive, Adairsville, died suddenly Monday night in Gordon Hospital following an attack suffered earlier at his residence.
Wayne was born in Gordon County on Feb. 21st; 1949 son of the late Clifford Carver and Vera VanDyke Carver who survives him. He was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Nerva Dixie Sewell Carver of Adairsville, one daughter and son-in-law; Shelly and Mike Vowell of the Scottsville Community and a sister; Kimberly Carver of Sugar Valley, Ga., two grandchildren; Hannah Nicole Jaco and Taylor Brooke Jaco of the Scottsville Community.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday Feb. 19th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery in Plainville.
Pallbearers serving include Tim and Keith VanDyke, Jimmy and Gary Stanfield, Billy Wiseman and Steve Mulkey and they are are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 P.M. Thursday.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Thomas Funeral Home.
