Waymon A. Clark, age 88 of Fairmount, passed away Monday morning, October 6th in the Pruitt Health Care Center of Jasper.
Waymon was born February 27, 1926 in Pickens County, son of the late Andrew Patton Clark and Eva Holmes Clark. He was a lifetime member of the Ryo Community and member of the Pleasant Grove/Ryo Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Green and her husband Kenneth of Fairmount; four grandchildren, Charity Payne and her husband Joey of Fairmount, Tabatha Roach of Rydal, Brandy Blalock and her husband Stephen of Cartersville, and Amanda Walker of Mableton, Georgia; and seven grandchildren, Madison Roach, Megan Roach, Caylee Payne, Stetson Walker, Dusty Walker, Cooper Walker, and Jet Blalock. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 8th at 2pm from the Pleasant Grove/Ryo Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Howard and Rev. Harold Owens officiating. The Ryo Church Choir will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include, Kenneth Green, Joey Payne, Johnny Poland, Stephen Blalock, Billy Clark, and David Hicks.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 4 until 9pm.
