Wanda King Smith, age 90, of Calhoun died at 2:42 A M, Sunday, January 08, 2017 in Regency Park Rehabilitation Center of Dalton.
Wanda was born, in Tampa, Florida on November 18, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Kirton King and Martha Lucille Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Franklin Smith, in August 1992, and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Smith and his wife Cathy Jo of Calhoun; Phillip Smith and his wife Charolette of Macon; one daughter, Linda Lowe and her husband Terry of Ellijay; two sisters in law, Lillie Smith of Calhoun and Maureen Jackson of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Kerri Altman, Tucker and Sia Smith; and four great grandchild, Michael Story Serenity Cook, Bethany and Bailey Altman along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 12 at the First Presbyterian Church of Calhoun with Dr. David McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12 noon preceding the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Chandler cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris, Phillip and Tucker Smith, Michael Story, Terry Lowe, and Aaron Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Calhoun.
