Virginia Godfrey Westbrooks

Virginia Godfrey Westbrooks, age 78, of Calhoun passed away Friday evening September 20th in Gordon Health Care. Virginia was born March 11, 1935 in Austell, Georgia, daughter of the late Burle Worley and Opel Melton Worley. She had attended Blue Pond Baptist Church and was employed at Gordon Health Care prior to her retirement. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Godfrey, her second husband, Alton Westbrooks, a brother, Thomas Worley and a sister, Geraldine Worley. Survivors include her daughter, Robin Chatmon and her husband Delbert of Adairsville. Three grandchildren, Brent Hyde, Sterling Hyde, and Stephanie McDaniel, two great-grandchildren, Justin McDaniel and Cashton Hyde also survive. Graveside services will be conducted Monday September 23rd at 2pm at Blue Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Parham Hammontree officiating.
