Virginia Louise Parker

Virginia Louise Parker, age 80, of Adairsville passed away Thursday afternoon September 15th in the Cartersville Medical Center. Virginia was born December 13, 1930. Daughter of the late Vernon Gibbs and Pet Hayes Gibbs. She was a member of the Plainview Baptist Church and was a former member of Sonora #484 Order of the Eastern Star. She was employed by Coronet Carpets prior to her retirement. Virginia was a alumni of Fairmount High School and was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Parker, Sr., her daughter, Debra Darlene Parker as well as twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, James Willard Parker, Jr. and his wife Andia of Kennesaw. One daughter, Annette Williams and her husband Jimmy of Calhoun, Cathy King of Adairsville, and Gale Parker Eskew her husband Buddy of Easley, SC.. Four grandchildren, Tammy Gee of Calhoun, Anthony King and his wife Charmon of Cartersville, Alysia Parker Ratliff and her husband Aaron of Hoschton, Georgia and Brian Eskew and his wife Jona of Texas. Eight great grandchildren, Braden Gee, Raeven Gee, Anthony King, Jr., Nathan Eskew, Cody Bailey, Breanna Reese Ratliff, Harley Eskew, and Payten Eskew. Serveral nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday September 17th at 1pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Harold "June" Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4 until 7pm.
