Virginia Nickless Geary, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 in Gordon Hospital.
Virginia was born on October 2, 1928 in Unionville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Roy Nickless and Ethel Edmonds Nickless. Virginia was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a member of the Board of Adventist Retired Workers where she served as secretary. As a pastor’s wife, she often traveled with her husband Pastor Bill Geary, President of the Georgia Cumberland Conference where she assisted him with revivals all over the country. She was a member and past President of the Sheppardist’s Club where she mentored more than one hundred Pastor’s wives. Virginia had also worked for many years at Gordon Hospital in patient services.
Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, William (Bill) Geary of Calhoun; son, David Greary; daughter, Nancy Sharp and her husband Walter of Calhoun; brother, Mike Nickless of Orlando, Florida; sister, Tammy Fletcher of Little Torch Key, Florida; five grandchildren, Brittney and Bradley Geary, Jonathan, Jeremy and Justin Sharp; five great-grandchildren also survive.
The family will have memorial services at a later date.
