Violet Deloris Porter

Violet Deloris Moore Porter, age 76 of Marietta, OH, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012. She was born on July 9, 1936 in Marietta, OH. She was the daughter of Sheldon Ray Moore and Jessie Ward Moore Richards. Violet was raised by her grandparents, John and Mae Moore in Marietta, OH. She graduated Marietta High School with the class of 1954. She married J. Keith Porter in Denver, CO and went into trucking in Georgia. Both Keith and Violet were associated with Digby Truck Lines for many years where their dear friends were Jim and Cindy Digby. They are the surviving loving friends. Both Violet and Keith were members of the Calhoun, GA, United Methodist Church and Violet was later a member of the Grace Methodist Church and Putnam Congregational Church in Marietta, OH. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00am Tuesday, September 11th in Chandler Cemetery.
