Vera Bohannon Moss

Vera Bohannon Moss, age 94 of Ranger, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her residence. Vera was born on January 19, 1921 in Whitfield County to the late William Grady Bohannon and Myrtie Mae Curtis Bohannon. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Sequoyah Chapter 286. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.K. Moss; and brothers and sisters, Ralph Bohannon, Guy Bohannon, Helen Campbell and Shirley Ralston. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Moss of the Red Bud Community and Lynne Jeffords and her husband Burt of Fairmount; two grandsons, Josh Jeffords and Jaren Jeffords and his wife Stephanie; sister, Lorene Padgett of Calhoun; sister-in-laws, Jettie Gilbert and Rae Moss; brother-in-law, Howard Ralston and his wife Margaret; and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to give special thanks to Vera’s caregivers, Betty Samples, Tracy Hall, Teresa Angel, Carrie Jones and others that helped thru the years. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 29th at 2 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend David Peeler and Reverend Winfred Casey. Interment will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Josh Jeffords, Jaren Jeffords, Gary Ralston, Michael Bohannon, Anthony Moss, Garry Moss and Danny Bohannon.
