Vera Mae Thomas McEntyre

Vera Mae Thomas McEntyre, age 80 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023.

Vera was born on May 12, 1943, in Gordon County, GA, daughter of the late Ralph Thomas and Eula V. Hightower Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Shane McEntyre. Prior to her retirement, Vera worked as a waitress. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ. Vera enjoyed shopping and meeting people.

Vera is survived by two sons, Bruce (Jeanita) West and Blake McEntyre (Daniel Giaquinto); one daughter, Renva Porto; two sisters, Peggy Fowler and Judy Thomas (Kenny) Black; four grandchildren, Brandon West and his wife Heather West, Chad West and his wife Jennifer West, Jessica West, and Savannah Porto; and eight great-grandchildren, Hannah West, Levi West, Justin West, Coleman Elrod, Cannan Elrod, Stevie Porto, Chandler Adcock, and Chloe Adcock.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 1 PM until 2:30 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 3 PM in Gordon Memorial Gardens.
