Vera Lou Burns Heramb

Vera Lou Burns Heramb, age 89 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Gordon Health & Rehabilitation. Vera was born on July 3, 1931 in Resaca, GA, daughter of the late Thomas Alfred Burns and Ethel Harrell Burns. In addition to her parents, Vera was also preceded in death by: a son, Gene Heramb; three sisters, Faye Franks, Euna Gilbert and Agnes Timms; two brothers, Ray Burns and Marvin Burns; and her former husband, Roy Heramb. Prior to retirement, Vera was employed by Coronet Industries. Vera is survived by: her son, David Heramb and his wife Nelda; two daughters, Karen McCartney and her husband Bryan and Kathy Mudge and her husband Jeffrey; four grandchildren, Amber Hensley, Angela Shoemaker, Zachary Mudge, and Conner McCartney; two great-grandchildren, Darien Hensley and Daxton Stanley; and a great-great-grandchild, Zayden Hensley. Several special nieces and nephews also survive. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 18th at 1 PM at Fain Cemetery with Reverend Greg Free officiating.
