Vaughnell Womack

November 1, 2010 Mr. Otis Vaughnell (O.V.) Womack age 72 of 546 E. Pleasant Valley Rd, Adairsville, Ga. passed away Sunday October 31 , 2010 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome following a lengthy illness. He was a member of the Barrett Road Church of God in Calhoun. He was well known in his community for many years as the owner of Womack House Movers. He was born March 16, 1938 in Gordon to the late Ralph Edwards and Flonn ie Mae Grogan Womack. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson , Jason Leon Elrod. Survivors include his wife Edith Lanette Rich Harkins Womack of Adairsville, five children; Terry J. Edwards, Anna Sue Elrod, Leslie Mark Womack, Juilia Beth Farrel, and Lisa Lanette Harkins , eight grandchildren; Zachary Joseph Edwards, Justin Luke Edwards, Samuel Lee Elrod, Jr, Dudley Aaron Elrod, Jeffery Wayne Elrod, Robert Aaron Harkins, Makayla Addison Farrell, Caiden Wade Ferrel and three great-great-grandchildren; Chase Hern Elro, Allyson Savannah Elrod and Brandon Leon Elrod, two sisters and three brothers, Grace Dodd, Mary Kate King, Edward Womack, Byron Womack and Billy Womack along with several nieces and nephews. Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 3:00 Wednesday November 3rd. from the East View Cemetery in Adairsville with Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.
