T.W. "T-Bone" Jackson, age 83 0f Resaca. Died Thursday January 3rd in Murray Medical Center. T-Bone was Born T.W. “T-Bone” Jackson, age 83, of Valley Drive, Resaca. Died Thursday January 3rd in Murray Medical Center in Chatsworth. T-Bone was born in Gordon County, April 16, 1924. Son of the late George Washington and Eula Muse Jackson. He was retired after 25 years service from Aladdin Mills as a Oven Supervisor. He was a disabled veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his first wife Geneva McBee Jackson, daughter Joann McBee Carver as well as two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his wife Edith Huckaby Jackson of Resaca. Four children, George Walter Jackson of Sterling, CO., Larry Mathis of Resaca, Edith Smith of Rome, and Tommy Mathis of North Carolina. Three Grandchildren, Tina Nelms, Teresa Grantham, and Terry Carver. Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday January 6th at 2PM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Pat Potts officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Doug Smith, Clifford Cross, Max McBee, Dylan Nelms, Terry Carver, and Chan Grantham. Honorary Escorts will include, Willart Byrant, Bill Walker, and Donnie Williams. Music will be arranged by Katie Redney and Linda Lachly. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 pm Saturday evening.
