Wednesday, July 16, 2008 Mr. Trammell Young age 79 of 1098 Cash Road, Calhoun, died Monday July 14th. in Gordon Hosptial . Trammell was born in Gordon County on May 23, 1929 son of the late Starling and Buena Roper Young and had spent his entire life here. He was a farmer and a member of the Salacoa Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Howard and Max Young. Survivors include his wife Frances Temples Young of Calhoun, four sisters-in-law; Ruby Dorsey and Barbara Temples both of Calhoun, Shirley Wehunt and her husband Charles of Fairmount and Charlene Collins and her husband Alvin of Adairsville, three nephews; Henry, Dale and Larry Young of Calhoun, a niece; Shirley Wright of Calhoun and a number of great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 17th from the Salacoa Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Hibberts and Rev. Marcus Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery with Bobby McClure in charge of the graveside services. Kenneth Taylor and Debra McClure will have charge of the music. Pallbearers serving include Gary Wells, Merrit McClure, Jack Blackwell, Kevin Wehunt, Roger Collins and Keith Dorsey and they are asked to meet at the Salacoa Baptist Church at 9:45 A.M. Thursday. On Thursday the body will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M Wednesday evening.
