Tony D. Greene

Tony D. Greene, age 75 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at his residence. Tony was born January 26, 1936 in Gordon County. Son of the late Dwight and Mary Baker Greene. He was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church and was formerly employed by World Carpet. Tony enjoyed gardening and his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Greene. Survivors include; Two sons; Gary and Allen Greene. Four daughters; Susan and her husband Reese Daniel of Gainesville, Sharon and her husband Tony Daria of Hebron, KY, Renae and her husband Aaron Petty of Fairmount and Joy and her husband Michael Kay of Knoxville, TN. One brother; Dale and his wife Shirley Greene of Nashville, TN. Eight grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday, August 27 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 26 from 5:00 - 7:00p.m at the funeral home.
