Tommy Gene Hunter

Friday, November 21, 2008 Mr. Tommy Hunter, age 52, of Calhoun. Died Thursday afternoon November 20th in Gordon Hospital following a short illness. Tommy was born July 11, 1956, son of Reva Mae Lingerfelt Hunter and the late James Doyle Hunter. He was a life long resident of Calhoun and was a self employed roofer and house painter. Survivors include his mother; Reva Hunter of Calhoun. One daughter; Tammy Dixon of Brunswick, Georgia. Brothers; David Carroll of Trion, James Donald Hunter of Calhoun and Tim Hunter of Tampa, FL.. One sister; Pauline Wheat of Calhoun. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday November 22nd at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Jimmy Timms officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwood Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 6 until 8pm.
