Thomas James "TJ" Holden

Thomas James “T.J.” Holden, age 85 of Calhoun died Saturday, May 13th at his residence. TJ was born in Bartow County, March 23, 1932, son of the late John Wesley Holden and Laura Kinsey Holden. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army. TJ loved the outdoors, the river, fishing and frog gigging. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Daniel Holden. He is survived by his sweet heart, Martha Bailey Holden of Calhoun; three sons, Randy Holden and his wife, Jo of Virginia, Jason Holden and his wife Coatsie of Adairsville, Jody Holden and his wife Katie of Wade, North Carolina; four daughters, Lynn Johnson and her husband Gerald, Cindi Davis and her husband Jim, Melanie Fox and her husband, Steven, Amy Reyes and her husband, Louis; three brothers, Junior Holden of Shannon, Jimmy Holden of Shannon and Walter Holden of Shannon; four sisters, Evelyn Hight of Shannon, Judy Bramlett of Calhoun, Virginia Barrett of Shannon, and Mildred Willerson of Kingston; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 18th at the Oothcalooga Cemetery near Adairsville with full military honors.
