Mrs. Thelma Mansfield Arp, age 96 of Calhoun, died Saturday November 7th. in the Gordon Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Arp was born in Bartow County, Ga. on January 16, 1913 daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie Wiggley Mansfield. She had lived in Calhoun since 1983, was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church, was retired from Richs Department Stores and addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy William Arp in 1981, a son Bill Arp in 2004.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law; Theresa L. Arp, of Calhoun, two sisters; Mary Wilson and Betty Castleberry both of Emerson, Ga., two grandchildren; Jeanne McDade and Gail Davies both of Calhoun, and one great-grandson Roy Davies of Calhoun.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday November 11th from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah , Tn. at 2:00 P.M. with Jack Bryan conducting the graveside services.
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening.
Contrubutions may be made to the Calhoun First Baptist Church in addition to flowers.
