Thelma Iona Davis

Thelma Long Davis, age 87 of Calhoun died Sunday, September 9 in Cartersville Medical Center. Mrs. Davis was born, June 11, 1925 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Woodrow L. Long and Emma Hayes Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice M. Davis April 30, 2003, a brother R.C. Long and sister Dovie Knight. She was formerly employed at Gordon Hospital and was a Baptist. Thelma is survived by one sister, Mary Ralston and her husband, Harlan of Marietta; nieces, nephews, and special friend James Buttram. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 12 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Curtis Belcher and Reverend James Brownlee officiating.
