The Reverend Willie Mack Tribble,

The Reverend Willie Mack Tribble Jr., passed away Sunday August 7th peacefully at his home he loved so dearly. He was a retired Methodist minister with 40 years of service. Reverend Tribble was born November 16, 1926 in Forsyth, Georgia. Son of the late Willie Mack Tribble, Sr. and Ruth Conner Tribble. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. Reverend Tribble was a Duke Magna Cum Laude, and a graduate of Emory University- Candler School of Theology. As a member of the North Georgia Methodist Conference he pastored the following churches, Thompson First United Methodist Church, Waleska United Methodist Church, Acworth United Methodist Church, Calhoun First United Methodist Church, Young Harris United Methodist Church, Athens, Georgia, East Point United Methodist Church, Level Creek United Methodist Church, Buford United Methodist Church, St. Phillips United Methodist Church, and Jackson United Methodist Church. Besides his parents his was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Coffee Tribble and a sister, Lou Jean Tribble Dillon. Survivors include his wife, Pam "Treetops" Haney Tribble. Three sons, Conner Tribble and his wife Betina, Arthur Tribble and his wife Lori, and Chip Grant and his wife Angie. Two daughters, Emmie House and her husband Richard and Mitzi Callahan and her husband Randy. One sister in law, Dana Coffee. Five grandchildren, Trey House, Ginnie Lee House, Carter Grant, Riley Grant and Mia Grace Callahan. Two nephews, Hugh and Scott Coffee. One special great nephew, Daniel Freed. Two special great nieces, Abigail and Moriah Freed. As well as a special niece, Helen Freed. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday August 10th at 3:30pm from the Calhoun First United Methodist Church. With The Reverend David Campbell Officiating. Honorary Escorts will include, Tim and Sue Haney, Glen and Joyce Smith, Robin and Rita Collins, Ted and Ann Collins, Ed and Jane Weldon, Dr. Will and Renee Theus, Peggy O'Connor, Jim Lay, Phillip and June Beamer, Brent Casey, Dr. Phillip and Monica Grey and Paula Taylor. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory to the Ann Jones Pre-School @ Calhoun First Baptist Church,% Vickie Warren, P.O. Box 758, Calhoun, Georgia, 30703 , the Gideons International @ Gordon County Camp, P.O. Box 1254, Calhoun, Georgia, 30703, or the Howard Jones Cancer Center @ Gordon Hospital, P.O. Box 304, Calhoun, Georgia, 30703. Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
