Terry Carter

Terry Carter, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on July 29, 2014. Terry was born on September 10, 1952 in Gate City, VA. He is the son of Bill and Janie Carter who survive. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, and has been a resident of Gordon County for the past 20 years. He was an avid golfer and Alumnus of the Lincoln Memorial University. He was an avid enthusiast of the University of Tennessee football program, and held season tickets for many years. Terry was formerly employed by Beaulieu as Vice President of Purchasing Survivors include his wife, Teresa Davis Carter of Calhoun; his parents, Bill and Janie Carter of Gate City, Virginia; step-son, Nick Clark and his wife Rhona of Chattanooga; brother, Micky Carter and his wife Barbara of Rock Hill, SC; niece, Anna Carter; and nephew, Will Carter. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be conducted on Friday, August 1st at 6:00pm at Gate City Funeral Home (136 Fleming Road, Gate City, VA 34251.)
