Terry L. Bowen

Terry L. Bowen, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday morning, March 25, 2013 in Gordon Hospital. Terry was born on September 29, 1944 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late J.P. Bowen and Sallie Dell McEntyre Bowen. Terry was of the Baptist faith and worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for over 34 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beth Hawkins and brother-in-law, Buddy Hawkins. Survivors include: his wife, Pat Thurman Bowen of Calhoun; one son, Shane Bowen of Fairmount; one daughter, Kim and her husband Kevin Logan of Hiram, GA; brother, Seth Bowen of Rockmart; special sister-in-law, Annette and her husband Darrin Clark of Adairsville; four granddaughters, Chloe Edwards of Hiram, GA, Amelia Edwards of Hiram, GA, Darby Bowen of Fairmount and Haley Owens of Kennesaw, GA. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include: Larry Gravitt, Louie McEntyre, Bobby VanLake, Buck McBee, Red Robbins, Jack Thurman and Jim Warren. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vickie Patania and Erin Yarborough.
