Terry Ronald Black

Terry Ronald Black, Sr., age 71 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Advent Health Gordon.

Terry was born on July 23, 1951 in Gordon County, GA, son of the late Otto Black and Stella Mae Black. In addition to his parents, Terry was also preceded in death by: one daughter, Tracy Renee Black; and two sisters, Faye Janelle Freeman and Marcel Gibson. Prior to his retirement Terry worked for Dorrest Carpet as a supervisor.

Terry is survived by: his wife, Barbara Wyatt Black; one daughter, Terra Black Coontz and her husband Greg; three sisters, Barbara “Pat” Starkey, Hazel Hollman and Marsha Townsend; and one brother, Larry Black.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2 PM from White Graves Baptist Church with Reverend Isaac Johns, Reverend George Padgett and Reverend Will Allen officiating. Terry loved Hotrods and to honor his memory we ask that anyone that loves them as much as he did to come to White Graves Baptist Church Sunday and follow us to Blackwood Springs Baptist Cemetery for burial.

Pallbearer serving include: Steve Black, Dale Black, Joey Black, Cody Black, Cutter Black, Clay Townsend, Dale Tatum, and Zack Gibson.
