T.E. Flowers

T.E. Flowers, age 86 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Gordon Health & Rehabilitation. T.E. was born on October 2, 1933 in Cherokee County, GA to the late Dewey Albert Flowers and Mae Beulah Cantrell Flowers. In addition to his parents, T.E. was also preceded in death by: a son, Timothy Edward Flowers; three brothers, Bo Flowers, Dee Flowers, and Cecil Flowers; and sister, Estelle Jenkins. Prior to his retirement, T.E. Ministered for over 51 years, part of which he was Pastor of the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy. He also served in the United States Army Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. T.E. is survived by: his wife, Shirley Wilkerson Flowers of Calhoun, GA; two sons, Tony Flowers and his wife Sonya of Scottsville, GA and Shawn Flowers and his wife Angelia of Chickamauga, GA; daughter, Pamela Flowers York of Calhoun; sister, Ruthell Holder of Hawkinsville, GA; five grandchildren, Tori Parks and her husband Cody, Bethany Gibson and her husband Caleb, Cameron Flowers and his wife Katie, Dylan Flowers and his wife Kayla, and Brianna Wardlaw and her husband Tyler; and six great-grandchildren, Hayden Gibson, Harper Gibson, Hudson Gibson, Ryley Flowers, Waylon Parks, and Everly Kate Wardlaw. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 2nd at 2:00 PM from the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Ronnie Chandler and Bishop Clinton Fields officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers serving include: Dylan Flowers, Cameron Flowers, Cody Parks, Tyler Wardlaw, Caleb Gibson, and David Hicks serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are: Randy Hoagland and Tommy Payne. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1st from 4 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
