Colleen T. Casey, age 74, of Calhoun. Died Thursday morning December 16th in the Gordon Health Care Center.
Colleen was born December 10, 1936 in Franklin County, Alabama. Daughter of the late Millard Lee and Gladys Austin Tuggle. Colleen was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class. She was employed as the secretary for Dr. Ed Brooks for more than 15 years prior to her retirement.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Diane Casey.
Survivors include her three sisters; Helen Ingle and her husband Roy, Evelyn Davenport and her husband Tommy, and Brenda Roegner and her husband Jess all of Calhoun. Two special aunts; Barbara Austin of Dalton and Clint Tuggle of Tuscumbia, Alabama. A special nephew, Wesley Davenport of Calhoun. Several great nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a special friend, Minnie Blackstock.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday December 18th at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. Rev. Jeff Hawkins will have charge of the committal services in the chapel following the service. Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery. The deacons of Belmont Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and the "Joy" Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escorts.
The family will recieve friends Friday evening from 5 until 8 pm.
