Wednesday, October 31, 2007 Mrs. Sybil Bunch Parker passed away at 10:30 P.M. on Tuesday Oct. 30th at the Calhoun Health Care Center. She was born December 28, 1919 in Adairsville, Ga. daughter of the late John C. M. and Lena Reece Bunch. She had lived in the Sonoraville for the last 44 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church near Adairsville, was a homemaker and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Parker on Sept. 2, 1994, Daughters; Patricia Ann Parker on September 5, 1979 and Sandra Parker Pritchett on January 15, 1996, step-daughters; Victoria Parker on Sept. 24, 1935 and Louise Parker Underwood on Sept. 15, 2000 along with 11 brothers and 7 sisters. She was the youngest of 25 children. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law; Linda Fletcher and Carol and Billy Jackson of Centre , Al.. Two sons and daughters-in-law; Charles and Brenda Parker and Johnny and Cheryl Parker all of Calhoun , a step-son; Winston Parker and his wife Betty of Cedar Bluff, Al. Eight grandchildren; Candi and Thair Hanaway of Atlanta, Mickey Jackson of Pine Log, Jennifer and Allan Poarch of Calhoun, Wayne Pritchett of Carnesville, Willie and Petrina Pritchett of Fairmount, Wade Thomas of Calhoun, Zane Thomas of Hulbert, Ok and Cody Parker of Calhoun.. Five great-grandchildren; Grace and Cole Pritchett of Carnesville, Ga. Will and Sandra Beth Pritchett of Fairmount and Zachary Campbell of Calhoun. Six Step-grandchildren; Joseph, Sammy and Randy Parker, Patricia Stanley, Regina Fowler and Gloria Sanders and a special niece; Edna Causby. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 1st. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Langston officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery near Adairsville. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Wade Thomas will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. today (Wednesday).
