Wednesday, June 06, 2007 Mrs. Susan Shugart Myers, age 45, of Sugar Valley. Died Saturday June 2nd at her residence. Susan was born in Gordon County on October 1, 1961. Daughter of Rosa Smith Creed and the late Freddie Shugart. She was a homemaker and member of the Russell Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Rosa Smith Creed of Adairsville. Her husband, Mark Myers and Step-mother, Ann Shugart both of Sugar Valley. One stepson, Aaron C. Myers. One stepdaughter, Rochelle Ann Myers both of Kennesaw, WA.. One sister, Melissa Moore and her husband Lamar of West Palm Beach, Fl. Three nephews, Zachary Moore of Atlanta, Gabriel and Samuel Moore both of West Palm Beach. Several uncles ,aunts and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 6th at 4pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Andrew Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Rev. Clyde McEntyre and Rev. Tony Coggins in charge of the graveside rites. Music will be provided by Randy Seabolt and Glenda Duvall. Pallbearers serving include Anthony Mulkey, Scott Nix, Robert Smith, Brent Smith, Jamie Rickett, and Jason Meadows. These men are ask to meet at the funeral home by 3:30 Wednesday. Honorary Pallbearers include, Bernard Shugart, Everett Nix, Pat Nix, and Gene Clark. The family will receive friends after 6pm Tuesday (today) and on Wednesday from 11am until the funeral hour.
