Sue Nesbitt

Sue Nesbitt, age 64 of Calhoun died Thursday, May 12 in Gordon Hospital. Sue was born in Hamilton County, Tennessee, September 22, 1946, daughter of the late James Elmer Quarles and Opal Gail Peacock Quarles. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted, Gene and Terry Quarles and a sister, Marilyn Shephard. She was employed at Tolbert School as a paraprofessional and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calhoun. Sue is survived by her husband, Donald Nesbitt; one son Donnie Nesbitt and his wife Tracie; three grandchildren, Carly, Max and Katherine Nesbitt, a niece, Sharon Shephard, two nephews, Randy and Rick Quarles all of Calhoun. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15 at the First Baptist Church of Calhoun with Reverend Doug Roebuck and Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Gina Daniel will have charge of music, and burial will be in Damascas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Todd Gibbs, Billy Hamilton, Gerald Mashburn, Bobby Dodd, Marion Broom, and Wade Calvert; they are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 PM Sunday.
