Steven Russell Yates

Steven Russell Yates, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Gordon Hospital. Steven was born on March 27, 1956 in Fulton County, GA to William Russell Yates and the late Margaret Allene Cole Yates. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his step-son, Charles Webster James. He was a member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church of Austell. Steven is survived by his father, Russell Yates of Calhoun; daughter, Kristen Yates of Calhoun; brother, Robert Yates and his wife Rita of Walker County; sister, Donna Gale Yates of Blue Ridge; granddaughter, Eva Grace Howard of Calhoun; nephew, Russell M. Hucks; and niece, Dixie Venson. Several great-nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday, June 10th at 2 PM in Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens with Reverend Chuck Romain officiating. Pallbearers serving will be Harry Ward, Mark Phillips, Mitchell Landress, Russell Hucks, Leroy Taylor, Todd Greeson, Anthony Bohannon and Darien Hensley.
