Mr. Steven Dwight “Yogi” Pass age 49 of 221 Will Allen Rd., Calhoun, died Monday July 27th. at the Rocky Mountain State Park in Rome following a swimming accident.
Steven was born in Gordon County on June 12, 1959 son of Estes Pass and the late Mary Allen Pass. Steven had spent most of his life in Gordon county but, had resided in Sevierville, Tn. for 12 years. He was a member of the Victory Fellowship Full Gospel Church of Calhoun and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Nimitz as a Night Crew Leader.In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother:Timothy Pass and a Grandson; Dawson Pass and grandparents; Delta and Jim Pass and Christine and Will Allen.
Survivors include his wife Rhonda C. Pass of Alpharetta, Ga. two sons; Alan Pass and his wife Elizabeth of Calhoun and Dallas Pass and his wife Laura Beth of Alpharetta, Ga., his father and step-mother; Estes and JoAnn Pass of Calhoun and a grandson Elliot Pass.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 31st. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Timms and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery with Military Rites.
Pallbearers serving include Rocky Fair, Mitchell Allen, Keith Walraven, Nevin and Jamie Pass, Eric Allen and Mitchell Akins and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:45 A.M. on Thursday.
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening.
