Stella Mae Freeman

Stella Mae Freeman, age 90 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Advent Health Gordon.

Stella was born on February 12, 1932, in Wartberg, TN, daughter of the late Lesley Davidson and Gracie Mae Payne Davidson. In addition to her parents, Stella was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Eugene Freeman; son, Robert Freeman; great-great-grandson, Wyatt Gibson; and brother, Robert Davidson. Stella was a real Christian Southern Lady and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving Wife, Mother and MawMaw.

Stella is survived by three sons, Michael Freeman of Chatsworth, GA, Stanley Freeman and his wife Arlene of Calhoun, GA and Phillip Freeman of Calhoun, GA: two sisters, Jean Hammontree and her husband Parham of Calhoun, GA and JoAnn Bohannon of Resaca, GA; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 4 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Beason officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons, Scott, Ricky, Josh and Clay serving as pallbearers.
