Stan Harper, age 74, of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, September 2nd at AdventHealth Gordon surrounded by his loving wife and friends.
Stan was born on October 4, 1946, to the late Quitman and Esther Harper. He retired as a supervisor in the paper mill industry. Stan is a US Navy veteran of Vietnam. When he returned, he cofounded the Hellions Motorcycle Club. He was a member of the Sonoraville Masonic Lodge 22 F&AM. Stan loved to ride, build, and fix motorcycles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Harper; son, Brian Harper; stepdaughter, Kasey Adams; brother, Anthony Harper and his wife Gabriele; sisters, Joyce O’Kelly and her husband Charles, Karen Hufsteller, and Sandra Lee; grandsons, Storm, Reinhardt, and Henry; several nieces and nephews; several brothers in the biker community also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted on Sunday, September 12th at 4PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with special speakers, Jimmy Fox, Red Richards, and Pudge Arnold Gilman officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 12th at Thomas Funeral Home from 2 PM until 4 PM.
