Wednesday, July 07, 2010 SPC E4 Charles Calebe Sloan age 23 of Ludowici, Ga. and formerly of Calhoun died Friday July 2, 2010 at Herndon, Virginia. SPC Sloan was born in Calhoun, Ga. on June 2, 1987 son of Charles Sloan,II and Angie Robinson Evans. He was serving in the United States Army where he was a Signal Support System Specialist. He was being deployed to Iraq at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Megan Sloan and a son, Charles Caden Sloan of Ludowici, Ga., his mother; Angie Evans of Canton, Ga. his father; Charles Sloan or Rome, a sister and brother -in-law, Heather and Jonathan Bean of Trion, Ga. a brother , Jeremy Sloan of Calhoun, his grandmother; Glenda Sloan of Calhoun,his great-grandparents, Billy and Mary Ruth Robinson, Grandparents, Richard and Shirley Gibson and Steve Robinson, his aunts, Carrie and Amanda Odendahl and his uncles, Bruce and John Robinson and Richard and Mark Gibson, an uncle Jason Sloan and an aunt Jennifer Tyler both of Calhoun. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 8th. from the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home in Summerville. The family will receive friends at the Mason Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. An additional visitation will be at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday with a memorial service to be held in the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M. with Dr. Donald S. and Winona Aultman conducting the services.
