Shirley Evette Luttrell, age 87, of Plainville, passed away Saturday morning February 29th in the Hamilton Medical Center.
Shirley was born in Summerville, Georgia, on October 1, 1932, daughter of the late Theodore R. Lemming and Edna Janie Bohannon Lemming. She was a loving mother and grandmother and member of the Resaca Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Howard Luttrell in December 2016, a brother, Ray Lemming, sisters, Margaret Utlezer and Dorothy Parris.
Survivors include her son, Micheal Luttrell and his wife Lupe of Plainville, daughter, Melissa Van Horn and her husband Wesley of Calhoun, one brother, Ray Lemming of Summerville, one sister, Dorothy Parris of Plainville, two grandchildren, Natasha Massingale and her husband Chris and Candice Burkhalter and her husband Chris. also survive; four great-grandchildren, Cage, Corban, and Claire Burkhalter, and Bannon Massingale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Mike Luttrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Pallbearers are Rick Rogers, Wesley Van Horn, Danny Bennett, and Harold Lemming. Ronnie Langley, Joan Padgett, and Laverne Gravitt will have charge of music. Burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
