Shirley Yvonne Fletcher

Shirley Yvonne Fletcher, age 74 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. Shirley was born on April 10, 1941 in Gordon County to the late Charles Rufus Fletcher and Bonnie Etta Sloan Fletcher. Shirley was a member of the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church. She faithfully attended the church services at Gordon Health Care, where she brought a lot of joy to the residents of the nursing home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Fletcher, Truman Fletcher, C.L Fletcher and Max Fletcher; and three sisters, Mable Jo West, Louise Thompson and Flonnie Talley. Survivors include three nieces, Gail Gramling, Garah Childers and Gay Ann Talley; and several additional nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 3rd at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Lamar Hand. Interment will take place in Corinth Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers include Dale Hogan, Michael Fletcher, Kenneth Prather, Robert Davis, Leonard Fletcher, Mark Pettit, Charles Fletcher, Jeff Fletcher, Rayford West, Jackie Greeson and Larry West. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until the funeral hour at 1 PM.
