Shirley Langford Clayton

Shirley Langford Clayton, age 84 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her residence.

Shirley was born on February 17, 1937 in Murray County, GA, daughter of the late J.L. Langford and Ruth Shields Langford. Prior to her retirement, Shirley was employed by Mannington Mills as an office worker for over 19 years. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by: her husband, Jackie Clayton of Calhoun, GA; one son, Jackie Clayton, JR and his wife Frankie of Calhoun, GA; two grandchildren, Chance Clayton and Devon Clayton; and one step-grandchild, Crystal Holt; one brother, Bud Langford of Cleveland, TN; and one sister, Mary Lynn Langford of Chatsworth, GA.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Green officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9 AM until the funeral hour at 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.
