Shirley Jean Robertson Beason, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at her residence on June 6, 2024.
She was born on July 1, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Carl and Martha Karn Robertson.
Shirley was a dedicated homemaker and hospice volunteer who touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity. Her love language was evident in the care she showed for others - always remembering birthdays with the perfect card and gift. Shirley's penmanship was flawless, reflecting her attention to detail and thoughtfulness. She never uttered a complaint and cherished every moment spent with her family.
In her free time, Shirley enjoyed playing double 9's, finding joy in simple pleasures and creating lasting memories with loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Leon Beason, and daughter Diane Forsythe.
Shirley is survived by her sons Robert Beason and his wife Marilyn, William Beason and his wife Ann, Gary Beason, Ronald Beason and his wife Charmaine, along with fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of the life of Shirley will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 12 PM at Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, Georgia with Pastor Daniel Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to her services. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Shirley be made to the Shoe Box Ministry at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 997 Brownlee Mountain Road, SW, Adairsville, GA 30103.
